SUITE SENIOR MALCOM FORBES
The story says that…
Malcolm Forbes, born on August 19th, 1919 and passed away on February 24th, 1990, was a press tycoon, billionaire, a world famous balloonist, a collector of Harley Davidsons, Fabergé eggs, hot air balloons, and palaces located all over the world, including the Mendoub palace in the Marshan district of Tangier.
This palace was home to the “Forbes” museum, which displayed a collection of 115,000 tin soldiers. These figurines retraced major historical battles (Waterloo, Điện Biên Phủ,…), 600 other statuettes placed in the gardens evoked the Oued al-Makhazin battle.
Today, the museum no longer exists. However, part of the collection, relics of a distant past, can be seen at the “Talim” museum, located amid the former American Legation.
As for the palace, it is now the property of the Moroccan government and welcomes the guests of the King of Morocco.
