SUITE ROYALE BARBARA HUTTON
The story says that…
Barbara Hutton, born on November 14th, 1912 and passed away on May 11th, 1979, was the wealthy heiress of the famous American Woolworth stores. During a trip to Tangier, she fell in love with a house in the heart of the Kasbah, the Hosni house, and decided to purchase it.
In Tangier, Barbara Hutton found peace, poetry, spirituality and exoticism. She was the one to launch Tangier’s high society life by throwing lavish parties. A jet-setter and a philanthropist, she supported several orphans’ associations and gave a substantial grant to the Tangier American School by covering the tuition of talented underprivileged pupils.
